Just purchased my S4 while on vacation in Florida.
You’ll notice from my pics what looks like a Suzuki Burgman 650 motorcycle underneath the S4…actually that’s a super-secret hush-hush research project of mine for underwater power source for the S4😉
I’ll be ordering the Tohatsu 20” 6hp and a 9 pitch prop for it shortly…. also gonna experiment with a drop-in stand-up rowing rig a la Cajun jougs style

Today is my birthday, so I took off from work and got out to play a little bit.
Of course I had to take a little detour and hang out on Little Munyon Island for just a minute!
I upgraded to a 9.8 Nissan outboard motor, and the thing does so good with it.
I stiffened my transom a little bit too.

First river trip in my S4

I finally made it out for the maiden voyage. Floated about 5 miles with the river moving about 4.5 mph.
Once I got my body position in the boat figured out everything went really well.
The creeks are running hard from the snow melt and we had several inlets that I passed that created some rapids and back eddies. Lots of fun. I spent a lot of time standing with no issue.
The 5 hp Honda should be arriving this week and I’m excited to see how it does going up the river.

This is the New River in Virginia, near my home.
Water is cold and dingy, and fishing is not good yet, but the boat has great potential for what I like to do.
