Some pictures of my Wavewalk 700

By John Sealy

I have been working on outfitting my 700 for fishing and other activities.

Here’s a few pictures I thought you may enjoy.

  1. Me with my grandchildren, how many kayaks/small boats could you do this in?
  2. My preliminary Railblaza console set up (got good ideas from Joe Stauder) and the first rough version of the ‘Sealy Seat.’ I hate that the picture has a brown bottle stuck in a hole in the hull. Picked bottle up to trash it.
  3. Picture of happy customer with seat.
  4. The 700 at dock of Merchants Mill Pond State Park ready to go look for gators and snakes….found both.

Note Railblaza base mounts on transom. Console set up for rod holder, GPS/phone holder, and GoPro mount.

The noodle sections attached to the cockpit edges in front of the seat are notched on top so I can lay the paddle crosswise when fishing and want it close at hand.
The two noodles outside at rear they are just overkill and used as bumpers on docks and helped protect the boat when in the bed of my truck.  They’re not in the way attached to pad eyes, and thought I could feed them to a gator 😀 if needed.

Wavewalk 700 tandem kayak from Sweden to Norway

By Kent Johnsen

Fiske Kajak, Sweden

I received the new boats a few days ago, and sold the first Wavewalk 700 today. Our first customers are Valeri and Milana, a couple from Sarpsborg, Norway. They drove 900 km one way [550 miles] to come here and try the 700. After they took it for a test ride on the river, they bought it instantly. They are very happy!
Valeri and Milana are nature lovers who want to live close to nature, and they chose the W700 because this is the feeling it conveys.

Bass boat style swivel seat for W700

By Steve Lucas

The seat swivels. You can do this with any el cheapo, plastic boat seat.

This is still a prototype but it works pretty well. The objective should be tho have the bottom of the seat flush against the saddle while still being able to swivel. This way you don’t raise your center of gravity much and it eliminates the need for drilling holes in the boat and metal or plastic swivel bases.

1 Rubber Stopper – Amazon
4 1/2 inches of PVC pipe
1 Carriage Bolt – 1 Nut – 2 Washers

The cushion is optional.

The 700 – More than a surprise

By Kent Johnsen

Sweden

Finally, the Indalsälven river here in Undersåker is open for navigation!

Although I had paddled my Wavewalk 500 last year, paddling the 700 for the first time was more than a surprise for me… Life is wonderful!

I really like my 700 R, it is a part of nature  🙂
