Our perfect and fun Wavewalk S4

By Andrew Kabbash

Ontario, Canada

A year in, I want to tell you how thrilled I am with the S4. It performs exactly as designed. Stable, light, quick even with a 3.5hp, and fun too.

The most impressive feature to me is being able to stand on one side of the boat and step onto a dock or a low freeboard boat. Amazing.

Thanks again, Andrew

Enjoying our Wavewalk 700, now in France

By Ken and Jane Hobson

This is Ken and Jane from Ibiza. We just wanted to give you some feedback and say how much we are enjoying our Wavewalk 700.

Ken made modifications to the roof rack – putting wood centres to keep the Wavewalk stable on top of the car. We use a normal kayak loader on the back window with a foam tube to ease the loading procedure. So all we do is lift one end up at the back and then simply slide it into position – easy!

After the delivery to Ibiza, Spain, we used the kayak a few times in the sea. But this year we have moved to France where there are some fabulous lakes where we can paddle without crowds or waves or gators – just ducks for company.

It is great. Thank you for your help sending the Wavewalk to Ibiza.

Electrical setup for my S4 offshore fishing kayak

By Terry Wilkison

Aloha,

Finally getting around to tidying up my electronics. A pelican 1050 case fits thru the 6 inch hatch and makes a good waterproof fuse terminal case. I will be using a 15ah 12v battery at first and have installed the optional charging circuit to my Nissan outboard motor.

If battery capacity isn’t enough I’ll add a second battery. I was going to go with lithium batteries but I cant confirm that I could safely/successfully charge with the outboard’s 12vdc 5amp circuit, so I went with lead acid agm instead. The battery is fused at 20 amps and each circuit is appropriately fused as well.

I am adding fully sealed momentary toggles right in front of the seat which is tucked away under my legs, and am putting two small bilge pumps in the back so I can easily pump on the go in rough water or while washing down afterwards.

I’m looking at adding a USB charger and red/white mini LED’s to light up the hulls for loading/launching early in the mornings.

I’m pretty happy with the layout and will finish wiring it up this weekend, I intend to go fishing this Sunday.

Wavewalk S4 DIY kayak fishing accessories

By Noah P.

Montana

I’ve been playing around with lots of ideas for accessories and how I want to mount them to the S4 but I haven’t yet been willing to drill holes into the boat. The other day I grabbed a 2×2 to see if it would fit in the seat holes. It turns out that a 2×2 (actual measurements 1.5 x 1.5) fits perfectly. Once I realized that it really opened the door for accessory options.

To start with. I made an accessory pole for the rear position (assuming two people are fishing). This pole allows you to quickly clip your paddle in safely and grab your fishing pole. I need to add some foam to the sides where the paddle crosses the boat to keep any noise down.

As you can see below, when not in use it easily stows in the stern out of the way.

The last picture is just a longer piece of 2×2 that can be used for the front fisherman for stability when standing and casting.

Wanted to share this with you and the others in case it helps. The flat mounting points of the 2×2’s really gives a lot of options.

Thanks

Noah
