This demo movie shows one person downloading a Wavewalk S4 from a vehicle’s roof rack, and carrying it from the parking space down to a rocky beach that we chose as a location for shooting video just because launching any other skiff from there would have been impossible.
Yoav,
You definitely prove your “launch anywhere” point with this video.
Open top tennis shoes may be an affordable way to get your feet wet safely but they do not protect your ankles from sharp rocks and barnacles.
Last week, I took a day in search of a high top water shoe for stepping on coral rock and in mangrove roots.
I purchased a pair of light grey Simms Zipit Bootie II’s from BassPro in Islamorada for the excessive price of $79.95 plus tax.
Ordering online is not a good idea as they are sized way too small for American feet. You have to physically fit up in the store for maximum satisfaction.
Coughing up over eighty bucks for a pair of shoes is a first for me. But, a flesh eating water born infection is far more costly.
Also, always carry a bottle of Coca-Cola on board. If you do get a cut, abrasion or fish puncture, flush it with Coke.
That stuff kills everything.

Thanks Larry,
It’s very clearly an extreme demo video, since a more hospitable launching spot can be seen a just few yards away…
As for carrying a bottle of coke on board, it involves some risk, since you might accidentally drink it π π
Yoav
Hey Yoav……….looks like I’ll now have some competition for the most scratches put on the bottom hulls of a Wavewalk. I think a bottle of whiskey would be preferable to coke.
π
Gary, you and I know that anyone with a Wavewalk stops worrying about scratches after the second time they take their boat out π
Yoav
Yoav,
Yes, you can launch them anywhere.
Nice job getting across those rocks and not falling, that S4 can take it, you not so much.
And just remember those are not just scratches on the bottom of the hulls, those are
the reminders of your adventures. π
Tight lines and MoPaddle Safe All.
Rox
Rox,
Yeah, scratches on boats are marks of distinction π
