Many S4 owners use it as a fishing kayak and\/or a touring kayak.<br \/>\nTechnically (legally), the S4 is classified as a Multi-Hull Boat, and Wavewalk labels it a Car-Topper Microskiff for commercial reasons.<\/p>\n<p>An S4 driven with a 9.8 HP motor is considered as Overpowered, and it cannot be driven with such a motor unless both its transom and motor are modified especially for this purpose.<br \/>\nInexperienced drivers should avoid trying this, especially in states that forbid overpowering boats.<br \/>\nExperienced drivers should take the time to learn how to control this very lightweight craft when it&#8217;s overpowered.<br \/>\nDriving an S4 in waves bigger than 2 ft must be avoided, especially in conditions known as &#8220;Washing Machine&#8221;, when waves hit the boat from different directions and might cause an unsuspecting driver to lose balance.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>\ufeff &nbsp; Any vessel rated for more than 3 HP is not a kayak, by definition, even if it&#8217;s called a motor kayak or a kayak on steroids.
