A W Fishing Kayak As a Symbol Of Hope In Norway
Eric, from Walk on Waves, our distributor of fishing kayaks in Norway and Sweden, sold a W500 about a week ago. Why would I mention this small news? Because Norway’s latitude is pretty much the same as Alaska’s, and there’s … Continue reading

First W Kayak Review on Norwegian Magazine
Eric got a popular Norwegian magazine to review the W500 kayak: The reviewer praises the kayak’s extreme stability, comfort, and its being well suited for fishing. Of particular interest were the long W paddle, enabling easy paddling and excellent control, and the fact that it’s easy to carry the W500 on top of a vehicle. Continue reading

Father and Son Kayak Fishing and Camping Trip Report, Norway and Sweden
Then it was time to go fishing with my son, Ivar.
After all the positive things that I told him about Wavewalk fishing kayaks, he was very curious. Then there was a 4 day trip on Foxen / Le Stora in Sweden.
We had a nice camp on a small island, where we went out with our kayaks.
There were a lot of fish, we shared the pike, and then I got a bream on the hook, which is pretty rare.
We saw the beaver and osprey, and many other bird species. We spent many hours in the kayak, up to eight hours a day. I had never been able to fish that long from any canoe or kayak.
It wasn’t enough for Ivar just to sit in Wavewalk, and he tried a number of positions while he fished. Being able to stand and fish from his Wavewalk kayak seemed like a great advantage to Ivar. Continue reading

Stand Up Kayak Fishing in Norway
Living in a cold region, Scandinavian anglers have not been particularly enthusiastic about fishing from kayaks, so far. But things are going to change, now that W kayaks are available for sale in Norway, not too far from the Swedish border. Continue reading

Initial W500 Kayak Review, Eric Overdijk, Norway
So I went with my girlfriend and the W500 to the big river nearby and we tried the boat.
Paddling the boat was like walking on the water!!!
It was very easy to use the boat, like a child’s play. The boat responded very nicely to the waves in the middle of the river, it was very easy to take the boat where I wanted it, to keep it short, I am very enthusiastic about it, and I feel like using it a lot. It was fun to stand and feel safe in a kayak. Continue reading
