Poling The W Kayak In The Tidal Flooded Grass, Fly Fishing For Redfish, By Kevin Eastman
As promised, here is the October flooded grass fishing report.
I ventured into some new areas this week and found some new hot spots that I’ve never seen anyone fishing in. Most likely because they can’t get to them.
This is probably the last flood tide of the season that the weather and water will still be warm. In November the water will cool off and the flooded grasses don’t have a lot of crabs left in them so the fishing slows a lot. Once again it’s great to pole the Wavewalk kayak around the shallow water while standing high on that platform. It’s a unique experience pushing your way through miles of areas that I usually have no access to other than during flood tides. Catching the fish is a bonus. Continue reading

Initial Review of Rigged Fishing Kayak With DIY Wheel, Gary Thorberg, Minnesota
Wow! That’s awesome! I was able to jump in and do it all within minutes!
I was very impressed with how well it tracked, and how easy it is to paddle. Haven’t tried a canoe paddle yet. My stand-up balance needs a little more work, but I was able to make a few casts with my fly rod no problem. A few more outings, and I will give it a try with a
passenger. Can’t wait to do it again! Continue reading

Waiting to Flyfish – Craig’s Kayak Fly Fishing Blog
Craig Masterman, a salt water kayak fly angler who fishes in Massachusetts (Cape Cod) and Florida, is known for his demo video he did for the W500 (Thanks Craig!…) and for his well researched setup of his kayak for fly fishing.
