Very comfortable for a good long day on the lake

By Jim Gifford

Michigan

I am enjoying the boat very much. I am very happy with it.
I modified a cart to fit his boat and easily take the boat from the garage to my trailer then to the lakes pretty easily. I am experimenting with a trolling motor mount that will allow me to place the trolling motor to the side. I registered the boat to keep the state happy.

The grand kids have been out with me a few times, but don’t want to stay out as long as I wish. This should improve as they age and want to fish as much as play. It has proven to be a great boat to use on my own as well. I have lots of room for what I use to fish. Very comfortable for a good long day on the lake.

In all I enjoy using the boat very much and also the planning of ways to make it my own.

The motor mount is not fully tested. The cart is just 1inch pvc 31 inches long with 7 inches of a pool noodle at each end. This is tie strapped to a kayak cart I had already.

Family Fishing Day

By Chris Henderson

Fishing Kayaks of Gig Harbor

We had a beautiful day for our annual Family Fishing Day!
Every year the State of Washington does a Fish Washington Free day to promote and encourage fishing in our state. Our church (Wellspring Fellowship) also wants to encourage great families and family time, and there are few activities better than going fishing!
So we gather up the Wavewalks and anything else that floats and take folks fishing!
We had two W700s and a W500 taking out kids and adults to catch fish. Some were catching their first fish ever. There is nothing quite so satisfying as watching kids catch fish. At first they are scared to touch them but it doesn’t take long and they want to hold them. I spent 12 hours on the water and lost track of the number of trout that I helped kids and adults catch.
What a great day!

From 11 to 81

Some coincidences are fun –
A couple of days ago, we shipped a Combat W700 and two paddles to a couple in Virginia. The husband, who’s 81 years old, doesn’t plan to motorize his Wavewalk, at least not for now. “Maybe in the future”, he explained.
And while this tandem kayak is in transit, Captain Larry Jarboe delivered a white W500 to an 11 year old client in Key West. The client’s dad told Larry that his son is an avid kayak fisherman, and plans to outfit his new Wavewalk fishing kayak with an electric trolling motor.

I’m thrilled by both sales. Both are heartwarming, and we’ve just broken our records both for the youngest and for the oldest client to become a Wavewalk owner 🙂

Four kids in a Wavewalk 500

By Michael Chesloff

Vermont duck hunter Bob Glandon sent me this beautiful picture of four of his grandchildren in the cockpit of his Wavewalk 500. Interestingly, Bob shot this photo on Christmas of last year, which was unusually warm…

Family Fishing Day

By Chris Henderson

Fishing Kayaks of Gig harbor, WA

Every year on the Fish Washington Free Weekend our church has a “Family Fishing Day” . We gather together and bring all manner of things that float (Wavewalks did most of the fishing) and take all who would like to come fishing.
We have a picnic potluck at 1pm.
This year we went to Lake Devereaux. There were a bunch of little fishermen that got to catch their first fish ever! I got to be the one that helped them.
Since there is no real shore fishing, I would take them out in the W700 and once the fish was hooked up let them reel it in. When they caught one fish I would bring them back and get the next kido. The W700 did the lions share of the fishing and it was great to be able to take out a little and their parent and get them on a fish.
The stocked trout were plentiful and willing and the kids had a blast.
Here are a couple of favorite pictures of the day.
