Captains Chair In Texan Fishing Kayak, By Rolf Hogfeldt

Bob and I did do the Demo Day at the bayou last week but due to weather conditions, we had to scale it back to one day. Anytime we can get out on the water, it’s a “good thing”!
I stopped at a Wal-Mart on the way and picked up this white patio chair for $8.88 plus tax.. We now have equipped a W-kayak with a Captains Chair for under ten dollars!!

I thought it would have been more “tippy” because you are sitting a few inches higher than the saddle but the opposite is true.
Also attached is one of the other reasons I love being on the water… The wild life on the bayou is much different and the only real way to get close to it is to be on the water.

Texas Fishing Kayaks To Sell The W In South Texas

fly fisherman showing fish - Texas fishing kayaks Glynn Gantenbein, from Texas Fishing Kayaks, has its primary residence in Salado, north of Austin, Texas, where he’s Wavewalk’s local dealer.
Being an avid saltwater W kayak angler, Glynn also spends as much time as he can in Port Isabel, a coastal town at the very southern point of the state, and from now on, he’ll be offering W fishing kayaks for sale there as well.
This is good news for many south Texan anglers, who’ve been waiting to take the only fishing kayak worthy of this name for a test ride.

Here is a map of south Texas, showing where Port Isabel is located:

A Successful Kayak Fishing Trip – Oklahoma

Had a great day at Hartshorne lake in SE Oklahoma today with my versatile Wave-walk fishing kayak. When I arrived at about 3:00pm everyone had left the lake due to the wind. A couple of folks who were just leaving warned me not to go out. The W is no problem in the wind and I paddled easily out to the lily pads where I parked my W right in a patch of them to secure my position without needing an anchor in the strong wind.
With the wind to my back I could cast into the “lanes” between patches of lily pads and harvest the fattest of the perch that I had come to fish for.
With an ultra light spinning rig a bobber, a #6 snelled hook, a split shot weight and some red worms I began catching slabbers one right after another!
The windy conditions were no setback for the W and I had the lake to myself.
I culled out the biggest fish, and let the rest go for another day.
Of all the fish available for eating in Oklahoma, for myself, nothing beats a pan fried bream and there are many members of this tasty albeit boney species throughout the state to enjoy.
The Wave-walk kayak is so easy to move around and tote to and from the car/truck that even if you’re only blessed with half a day or just a couple of hours you can fish in your window of opportunity due to the ease of getting to and from your favorite fishing spots.
Wave-walk has revolutionized my favorite past time with the W kayak as my simple, stable and efficient answer to a fishing platform, especially on small easily accessed lakes and bayous.

Season’s First Kayak Fishing Trip, Fox River, Wisconsin, By John Fabina

I went out today to the Fox river to try to catch some Catfish, since it has become a new interest of mine to pursue them. What a gorgeous spring day here in Wisconsin!
I had to take some photos of the blue skies and great scenery, I even caught a picture of a hawk enjoying the weather.
The Catfish didn’t cooperate, so I decided to cast for whatever would bite. Bam!…my first toothy critter of the year, a small but healthy Pike. He put up a feisty fight in the cool river waters and made my day.

W Fishing Kayaks Distributor In Australia!

Australians love the outdoors, and they love water as well, which is why they spend as much time as they can sailing, boating, fishing, kayaking… and even kayak fishing.

We started selling W fishing kayaks in Australia about two years ago, factory direct. This meant that until now, our Australian clients had to import their W kayak individually, all by themselves, which isn’t easy for someone living on the other side of the globe.
For this reason, we were slow to introduce the only fishing kayak worthy of this name in Australia, which is the world’s second biggest market for fishing kayaks, after the United States.
Australian fishing kayak dealerBut this unfortunate situation has changed now that Steve Phillis founded a new business named Aussie Kayaks, which is the distributor of Wavewalk fishing kayaks in Australia.
What drove Steve to order a W kayak for himself in the first place was his lower back problem, which prevented him from paddling old-style sit-in and sit-on-top kayaks. -”No back pain since I got my W kayak!” says Steve.

Steve and his partner Dave, together with Steve’s wife Melissa and Dave’s wife Heather, form the Aussie Kayaks company. Together, they will spearhead the next phase of the evolution of kayak fishing in Australia.

Aussie Kayaks is located in Bendigo, north of Melbourne, in Victoria, a state in the southeastern tip of the Australian continent, and facing the island of Tasmania. In the north, Victoria is bordering New South Wales, Australia’s most populated state, and in the west, it borders another state named South Australia.

Steve and his team would be happy to assist Aussie anglers in rigging their W kayaks for fishing, as well as motorize them.

Steve happens to love sailing too, and he already contributed a review of the W kayak under sail.
