I just wanted to share a little fun with you –
I went out to do a little bow-fishing in the kayak today, and got many fish,….but take a look at this beast!! It was a little over 37 inches long, and around 40 pounds or so!ย  What a blast!!

Take care, and Best Regards,

  1. Wow Paul, what a story!
Congratulations on this huge carp – a most impressive fish!
I’ve been waiting for such pictures for years, literally, since I realized the potential for bow fishing from this kayak. And you did it, big time!
This is a great day for Wavewalk! ๐Ÿ™‚

  2. Paul,
Once again, you have provided us with an unbelievable story! Only you can consistently get the big ones! Hope we can get together soon so that I might learn some of your secrets! You are truly using your Wavewalk to it’s full potential.

  3. Pretty neat, Paul………are you going to smoke him up? Guess I’m going to have to try that approach on redfish the next time they don’t want to hit my presentations. Problem is, with my sense of balance, I’d probably shoot an arrow through the bottom of my W.

  4. Hey Gary,

I guess the worst case scenario if you stand up in a kayak and bow fish is shooting yourself in the foot ๐Ÿ˜‰

  5. This fish went to a gentleman that is going to eat it, and use the rest in the garden as fertilizer! No waste!!

  6. Give me a call sometime, Gary! It would be great to go fishing again!!

  7. Great shooting Paul. Makes me want to grab my bow again, I haven’t carp shot for awhile. The Wavewalk is a great platform to use for this, it seems you can get closer to the carp with this vessel as compared to the traditional Jon boats.

  8. Hey everybody!
Paul finally released a couple of carp bow fishing movies, and we added them to his story –
They’re a must see of of course! ๐Ÿ™‚

  9. The videos were started after the fish were shot. My camera is on a chest mount, and can’t be worn when shooting the bow. I will try to remedy this in the future!!

  10. It seems like these days many fishers are increasingly preoccupied with their wearable cameras ๐Ÿ˜€

  11. Paul, You may hold the bowfishing record for largest fish shot from a Wavewalk. Can any angler here show that they shot a bigger fish from their WW? Larry J.

  12. Larry,

It is indeed the largest fish shot by an arrow from a Wavewalk kayak, so far. Not too many people fish with a bow and arrow, as you know.

  13. Outstanding!

Great video’s and it’s very nice of you to give away some of your
    catches for someone’s smoker. ๐Ÿ™‚

Never tried smoked carp, does it taste like Chicken…… ๐Ÿ™‚

Tight lines and MoPaddle safe all.

  14. I like to eat carp, occasionally, but it’s not my favorite fish. I imagine smoked carp would be tasty because I like smoked fish, dried fish, marinated fish, sushi, etc.
