Offshore fishing trip in my motorized Wavewalk 500 kayak

By Sungjin Kim

I woke up at 4:30 AM, before dawn, to be ready on time for this fishing trip in the ocean.
Launched at 6:00 AM from the harbor.
Going on the water with my motorized kayak was as I had planned.
Fishing wasn’t very good. Caught some squid, cuttlefish and seahorses.

  1. Thanks Sungjin,

Your W500 looks great now! 🙂

  2. No outriggers, and it’s stable as a dock. I wonder if speed has something to do with it in the sense that it helps in stabilizing the boat.

  3. Sungjin pioneered motorizing the W500. It was just a matter of time before he got rid of those outriggers.

  4. Sungjin, what a great trip you had.

I guess the fishing was slow, but fun is over the top. 🙂

Tight Lines and MoPaddle Safe all.
