Bass, pickerel, and yellow perch on a kayak fishing trip in a restricted lake, by Michael Chesloff

Prospect lake is a Canoes & Kayaks Only for non-residents, and that’s not a problem for me and my Wavewalk…

On a 3 hour excursion I caught a bunch of good size (4 at 2 lbs or better) bass, 6 pickerel, and a beautiful 12 inch yellow perch that smashed a 5 inch paddletail.

  1. Michael, you’ve certainly developed a “cast and shoot” style 🙂
Congratulations those are good looking fish.

  2. Thank you for the kind words.

Since fishermen are always honest :-), if you click on the the first bass picture you will see it was accidentally mislabeled as a 4-pounder. It is in fact, well under 2 pounds.

  3. Michael, I think it’s the overworked editor of this kayak fishing news magazine that’s to blame for this error 😉
After 10 PM my brain’s performance reaches a very low level (some would call it brain-dead…), but Wavewalk still won’t hire a night editor 😀
