Hey Jeff……Sweet simplicity – I’m all for it. I’d just add a couple more of those foam noodles to the sides of your W right in front of you to rest your paddle on while casting. Then you’ll have sweet silence to go along with your sweet simplicity. Good luck this Fall.

  2. Good movie, although I would have preferred more dynamic music…
Have you thought about motorizing your w500? That could get you to travel to more fishing locations.

  3. I’ve held off on motorizing the W500 since it’s not all that practical in my regualar fishing spots. We are loaded with oyster bars here. A combination for hulls and motors that lead to grief. My Wavewalk is a pickup of a kayak and can go almost anywhere. With the vast amount of water we have here and access most paddles are not all that far. We are not limited to ramps and where boaters use their trailers and prepare for the day kayakers launch close to the fishing spots. They are activelty fishing before the boaters show up sometimes. For me most of my fishing is shallow stuff for good portions of the day. Even that light Honda on the back would be an issue in grass and tight areas trying to tackle a big redfish. Now in more open water that engine is a great idea. Just that most of the time I’ve engaged in hand to fin combat. For that kind of fishing a minimalist gear approach and lots of room is the key.

  4. Jeff has a motor boat with a 25hp outboard, which he uses on special occasions, such as when his grandchildren come to visit.
