W500 Kayak With Transportation Wheel – Ofer Levy, Sydney, Australia
I am very happy, as the W500 is exactly what I needed. It is perfect for my needs. Very stable and easy to maneuver. Since I am using W 500 for photography, and I carry around 20 grand worth of equipment, I need it to be very stable and safe. I am using it in lakes and in calm sea, and in very shallow water at times. Looks great and I love it!
I am hoping to take my wife and 4 years old son on the kayak on weekends. I am planning to mount a serious electric motor on it. Sometimes I need to transport the W500 over long distances as I have to access remote locations for bird photography. Continue reading

Riding Tropical Storm Irene In The Stand Up Kayak
Earlier today we took the W500 kayak to the beach at lake Massapoag, a 1 square mile lake in eastern Massachusetts, on the path of Irene – a tropical storm at that point in time.
The wind was blowing at 35 mph, with long gusts of up to 55 mph, beating the waters of this small lake to waves between 1 and 2 ft high. Such waves are almost unnoticed when you’re paddling the W500, but paddling standing up against such powerful headwind isn’t easy, as you’ll see: Continue reading

Stand Up Kayak Fishing Movie From Korea
Sungjin posted this new kayak fishing movie, featuring local kayak anglers:
It’s the rain season in Korea now, and powerful rainstorms are frequent. But although the wind is blowing hard, the anglers in Sungjin’s movie are seen fishing and paddling standing up in their W kayaks, undaunted and hardly disturbed at all.
One of the W500 kayaks is outfitted with a powerful outboard gas engine. We hope to get some video of this beast in action!

New, Sand Color For W Kayaks
This new, Sand color for our W kayaks blends well with certain environments, and can serve as a good background for various camo patterns. For additional camouflage work on your W kayak, we recommend using a spray paint named Krylon Fusion, which seems to stick to Polyethylene surfaces better than other paint does. This paint gets easily scratched easily, but it’s easy to repair the damage. Continue reading
