John and Jeanne at the Paddling Festival, in Milwaukee, WI
Jeanne and I had a fun and interesting day at the festival today. Weather was crummy, cloudy and cold, 52 degrees. We paddled up on shore on what they called the kayak beach.
Met a kayak fishing guide who liked the W.
If I get enough time this late summer early fall I may join a fishing club. Best fishing on Lake Michigan for kayakers is during this period.

Father and Son Kayak Fishing and Camping Trip Report, Norway and Sweden
Then it was time to go fishing with my son, Ivar.
After all the positive things that I told him about Wavewalk fishing kayaks, he was very curious. Then there was a 4 day trip on Foxen / Le Stora in Sweden.
We had a nice camp on a small island, where we went out with our kayaks.
There were a lot of fish, we shared the pike, and then I got a bream on the hook, which is pretty rare.
We saw the beaver and osprey, and many other bird species. We spent many hours in the kayak, up to eight hours a day. I had never been able to fish that long from any canoe or kayak.
It wasn’t enough for Ivar just to sit in Wavewalk, and he tried a number of positions while he fished. Being able to stand and fish from his Wavewalk kayak seemed like a great advantage to Ivar. Continue reading

Quick Review of W500 Fishing Kayak by John King, Ohio
I have only had the w500 out a couple of times, and so far I love it.
Fishing out of it is great and easier than I thought it would be.
My son uses a sot kayak for fishing and he tried the w500 and was impressed with the stability, and how well it tracks.
I hope to get some more time in it soon.
Our weather here (condition of the waterways) has not been great, and my work schedule has been a bit taxing but should slow down in a couple of weeks.
I hope to retire next year and the w500 is going to be getting wet a whole lot.
Still planning out the rigging and should have some of it completed before I take it out the next time. I have noticed you have picked up some more distributors.
When anyone asks me about my w500, they definitely learn that I am very pleased with it. Continue reading
Matt Green From Illinois Already Catching Fish With His New W Kayak
Matt from Chicago just got himself a new W500 at Brew City Kayaks, our dealer in Wisconsin. It didn’t take Matt very long to start catching fish in his new Wavewalk kayak, dubbed the SS Tabby.
Says Matt: -”I’m so excited to have a project that I can build with my hands. There is so much to consider when customizing these things. Thanks again for taking the time with me on Sunday.” Continue reading
