Matt Green From Illinois Already Catching Fish With His New W Kayak

Matt from Chicago just got himself a new W500 at Brew City Kayaks, our dealer in Wisconsin. It didn’t take Matt very long to start catching fish in his new Wavewalk kayak, dubbed the SS Tabby. Says Matt: -”I’m so excited to have a project that I can build with my hands. There is so much to consider when customizing these things. Thanks again for taking the time with me on Sunday.”

It would seem like I’m the first in IL or Chicago for that matter to get a wavewalk. All I have to say is this thing is an absolute bass killer. I have not taken it out for fly fishing yet cause I’m having way to much fun with the bass right now. I’ll send some more pics but I’ve done some fun stuff with it. The best thing I’ve done is a sliding anchor system and a nice comfy chair (warning, the chair throws off the balance, but allows me to fish all day with no aches). I can’t seem to find the guy who came up withe the idea but all you need is 3 carbiners and some light cord. I’ll send some photos in the next few weeks.

    Hi Matt,
Try standing up and switching between positions instead of using a chair – You’ll find it’s more effective in driving away fatigue, and getting you relaxed and fresh after hours of sitting in your W kayak. You can also lie down on the saddle and do some stretching exercises – that helps too. Cat naps are possible as well, but only in very shallow water please! 😛

It goes without saying that if you’re taking a cat nap in your W kayak, you’d better anchor it first 😀
