Review of W300 Fishing Kayak, by Chris Ott, Massachusetts
I can’t help but comment on what others have already mentioned and that is the dry entry and exit from the kayak. This is one of the big advantages of this kayak. Yesterday the person removing his Jon boat had to jump into the water with his rubber boots on to get the boat up on shore. I just paddled up, leaned back and then hopped to dry land in my sneakers after gliding to a stop. The ease of the exit did not go unnoticed to the fellow wading in 40°F water. The Wavewalk allows me to fish with the independence I was looking for. It is a great kayak that I will enjoy for years to come. Continue reading
THE BARGE – A NEW CLASS OF FISHING KAYAKS
The title of this piece should have been: “The Barge – A New Class of Fishing Kayaks, And Why It’s Even Worse Than You Imagine”… 
But long headlines are not elegant, so it got cut. Most people know what the term Barge means when kayaks are referred to: It’s a big, wide, long, heavy kayak that’s hard to car top, hard to carry, hard to launch, hard to paddle, and hard to beach. A Barge is a kayak that’s slow, and doesn’t track well, hence the expression “A barge to paddle”. Continue reading

32 Inch Pike for John in His First Kayak Fishing Trip This Season, Wisconsin
My buddy Bob and I headed out for the first time this year with our Wavewalk kayaks. Temps climbed into the 70′s and winds were calm. The lake we were fishing is only accessible by kayaks or small boats. Fishermen that want to access this lake must often cross bogs. Our Wavewalks are perfect for this and handled the challenge with out a problem. Our reward was having the whole lake to ourselves. We were targeting early season crappies. Bob started catching a few and I lost a few. Then I got side tracked by Largemouth bass that started popping my little Road-runner jig and minnow. The nice surprise was the 32 inch pike that bit on my bait and provided a very exciting fight. Water temps on this small lake had climbed into the low 50′s. It felt so great to be back on the water in the Wavewalks after a long winter! Continue reading

Kayak Fly Fishing in the Netherlands – Movie
Here’s a new W kayak fly fishing movie from the Netherlands: Rob Pronk and Watze de Vries are seen testing the W500 fishing kayak. They are seen fly fishing in the W kayak, including fly fishing standing up.
