John’s New Masterpiece: Wavewalk Blue W500 Fishing Kayak. Wisconsin

Wish I could have been out on the water today. It turned out to be a beautiful day and we haven't had many this spring in Wisconsin. Unfortunately I am still fighting with a bout of the flu. So I decided to pull the W's out and do some touch up work and paint scheme changes. Krylon Fusion for plastics seems to work well for this purpose.

I touched up my “bedrock” pattern and changed Jeanne’s 500 from “Tiger stripe” to “Wavewalk Blue” which is the way her 300 was painted. Hopefully the weather will improve and we will be on the water soon.

    John,
This is the finest looking kayak I’ve ever seen. It’s simply amazing.
Thanks for naming this color pattern Wavewalk Blue 🙂

You hardly see such artistic, beautifully painted kayaks anywhere.

    Great job!
Did you use spray air gun?
    It’s really art!

It’s spray paint called Krylon Fusion. It sticks to polyethylene better than other paint, but it gets easily scratched.

    Great paint job. 🙂

I love that blue color, my 14′ Deep V is a camo pattern, blue and white, but in that same blue as your yak.

Tight lines and Paddle safe all.
