Nice Trout for Jeff Kayak Fishing Under the 206 Bridge – Movie
After spending several days serving as a Bassmaster Marshal, Jeff is back on the saddle of his yak, the mighty W500 fishing kayak, of course. And he caught a very nice trout, a keeper: Continue reading

Jeff’s Review of the Bassmaster Fishing Tournament, Florida
Jeff McGovern recently posted a series of observations and comments on his fishing blog, about the latest Bassmaster bass fishing tournament in Florida, in which he served as Marshal, spending entire days with the champs, on their fancy bass boats. This is a highly interesting read, as one would expect from Jeff, especially if you’re into bass fishing. Continue reading

First Impressions From W500 Fishing Kayak – Paul Harrison, Mississippi
I’m very satisfied so far.
First trip straight to the Gulf of Mexico beach near Biloxi, MS. Practiced in a protected cove for 30 minutes or so, no problems with launching, beaching, and seated paddling (of course I’ve read all the advice and observations of others). Very stable and secure and comfortable. Will need to practice tight radius turning. Then out past the rock jetty into 1 to 2 ft choppy waves. No problems there either, straight on or side on to the waves … with the wind and waves, or against, no big problems. On way back into the cove did a little standup paddling. Was successful but practice will be needed here too for secure fishing and paddling. Continue reading

Fully Rigged Fishing Kayak – Ray Schwertner, Texas
First fish, a nice crappie. 3/12/11. My water craft was ogled with much envy at Purtis Creek State Park. One guy from Austin has been looking at WaveWalks for a while. He fishes from a kayak and was getting a little wave splash in the windy conditions. I think you will have a sale soon.
I am sold out on this W . Cannot wait to go out this weekend. Continue reading
Airjet Motor on W500 Stand Up Fishing Kayak – Movie
This W500 setup presents many advantages, including the lack of rudder and immersed propeller, making it ideal for shallow water, as well as water where seaweed is abundant.
It also makes beaching and launching easy. You can keep paddling while the motor is running, whether you’re looking for more speed, or for better steering. Needless to say, that you can troll and fish with both hands while the motor is running. Continue reading
