Catamayak – Wavewalk Kayaks Dealer In the Netherlands

Robert Borrenbergs, a lifelong fly angler, canoeist and kayaker from Gouda, Holland, was disappointed by what canoes and common kayaks had to offer. He had been looking for something better for a long time, and found Wavewalk’s W kayaks.
After having tested the W500 kayak he had ordered for himself, Robert realized the commercial potential of W kayaks, and decided he wanted to be Wavewalk kayaks’ first dealer in Europe. Robert founded Catamayak, and from now on, people living in Benelux, that is the Netherlands (Holland), Belgium and Luxembourg, and in northwestern Germany, can get real live demos of the W500, and purchase their W kayak locally. Fully Rigged Fishing kayak and Full Kayak Review, by Gary Johnson, Texas

If I can help some other Vet or civilian with frequent orthopedic pain be able to enjoy kayaking it’s good enough for me. I think it is important to clarify why I am passionate about the WaveWalk W500 Kayak.
I used to be an accredited Canoe instructor, and have taught lots of Boy Scouts how to make a canoe go straight. For me a regular kayak makes “Pain Management” impossible. I have tried conventional kayaks and NONE OF THEM give me the freedom to stretch and move that I require in order to keep my back from cramping up and making fishing pure hell. The W500 was my last hope for a personal watercraft. If it weren’t for the W500, I couldn’t be a kayak owner – my back will not allow me to sit in a regular kayak for more than about 20 minutes. Kayak Or Canoe? – Please Rephrase The Question

A kayak is a small watercraft designed to be propelled by a dual blade paddle, also known as a kayak paddle. A canoe is a small watercraft designed to be propelled with a single blade paddle, a.k.a. canoe paddle. The boundaries between canoe and kayak are not absolute: Some Whitewater canoeists modify kayaks’ cockpits, and use the modified kayaks for canoeing, while narrow canoes can be paddled with a long, dual blade paddle. Hybrid kayaks are essentially canoes denied of most of the freeboard that canoes typically feature, and paddled as wide SOT kayaks, in the L position, which is an inconvenient setup. Since hybrid kayaks offer little freeboard, and feature no scupper holes, even mild chops makes them fill with water, and that makes them suitable only for paddling and fishing in small ponds, or on calm lakes and rivers. How To Carry Your Fishing Kayak

How To Attach 2 Fishing Kayaks On Top Of A Car

This photo shows how easy it is to attach 2 W500 fishing kayaks on top of a car: There’s no need for special kayak racks, or any other accessory. The straps hold the kayaks together, as well as to the car rack, and they prevent the kayaks from going back and forth. For extra safety, we recommend using more than 2 straps, because stuff happens.

Paddling The W Kayak In Tandem – Movie

This video shows two adult paddlers in the W500 kayak. Their weight plus their gear’s weight amounts to a total of 350 lbs. From watching this movie it’s clear to see this kayak is suitable for paddling when loaded with additional weight, but we recommend to avoid loading it more, doing so would affect its performance. The W500 works as perfect canoe as well, both solo and tandem. Continue reading
