“The Fall Bite Has Started” – Gary Reports From His Kayak, Ozello, Florida

I ran into a nice group of redfish cruising the Ozello, FL flats yesterday. Caught 3 before spooking the rest. I also caught my first barracuda – a monster 11 incher, already with an awesome set of choppers. The fall bite has started.

  1. Great catch, and nice pictures! Looks like you’re enjoying photography as much as fishing 🙂

  2. Hey Gary, I’ll bet that if you started shooting video, some of the redifsh you catch would start talking to the camera… 😉
There are precedents to that, you know! 😀

  3. Nice job, congrats on your fall trip. 🙂
Hope you land a big one!!

Tight lines and paddle safe all.

  4. The bird is an egret, Warren. Pretty common around here.

Haven’t got into the video thing yet, Marco — I have a hard enough time taking photos.

  5. If you want to get technical, it’s a Great Egret, we have a few varieties of them down here.
