John and Jeanne, and Their W Kayaks, in a Cold Fall Paddle Trip – Wisconsin
Jeanne and I took advantage of the weather and went out on a late fall paddle trip. Before we had our Wavewalks I would of thought twice about taking a trip this time of year. The confidence we have in our W kayaks makes cold water trips more enjoyable. We still practiced cold weather safety, paddling together and wearing our life vests. Continue reading

4 Guys Yakking and Fishing in the Flats, North of Pellicer, Florida
It’s kind of funny but when a few of us get together for kayak fishing there are times it’s more chatting than fishing… Anyway we headed north on the intercoastal maybe a mile or so before heading into the flats north of Pellicer. Jeff Maron tried out the Wavewalk 500 and finally he now gets the joke. Every time we go out he needs to head for shore about each hour to unkink his back. He always wondered the real reason I was comfortable and did not get all kinked up, now he knows. Continue reading
Extreme Stand Up Paddling Fishing Kayak Movie
New video of a big guy taking stand up paddling his W500 fishing kayak to the extreme: Yet another proof that the W500 is by far the most stable fishing kayak our there, and the only one really fit for stand up paddling and fishing. Continue reading
3 W Kayak Anglers, Crystal River, Florida
I fished yesterday with Dick Sherman, who designed a combination backrest / rod holder for his W fishing kayak. He needed a backrest and this seems to do the trick. We got a few small trout but had a pretty slow day. Continue reading
‘First Impression’ Fishing Kayak Review, by Gary Johnson, Texas
I had initially thought I might want to add an electric motor for powered use – NOT ANYMORE!! Paddling the W500 is so easy and even going into a 10mph breeze it was almost effortless. For those who say the W500 won’t glide and won’t track straight I say you are FULL OF HOOEY!! Paddling couldn’t have been easier Continue reading
Brew City Kayaks – Wavewalk Kayaks’ New Dealer, Milwaukee, Wisconsin
John and Jeanne have always loved paddling and fishing with friends and family, and got their first W kayak in 2009, because of John’s back condition. Soon after, they ordered a second W kayak for Jeanne, and two more for their daughters. Continue reading

Paddle VS. Pedal Drive in Common Fishing Kayaks
This article examines pedal drive propulsion for common (mono hull, sit-in and SOT) kayaks from several technical angles, which are: Ergonomics – How does it feel to operate a pedal driven kayak, and what are the potential physiological drawbacks in this type of propulsion. Mechanics -How efficient are pedal drives’ pedaling systems. Hydrodynamics -How efficient are pedal drives’ propellers, and how effective is pedaling kayaks compared to paddling them. Real World Performance – How effective are pedal driven kayaks in applications such as fishing trips, stand up fishing, fishing in moving water, fishing in shallow water, launching, beaching, etc. Continue reading
