Have fun watching this movie 
This is the first time I try paddling in tandem with a paddler that’s heavier than me, while I paddle standing up.
Craig is 215 lbs, and I’m 200 lbs, and with our gear etc. our combined weight was 440 lbs, and that’s 80 lbs above the max recommended load capacity for the W500, which is 360 lbs.
It was fun, and pretty easy, although the overloaded W500 was somehow sluggish.

If I outweigh you by 15 pounds, then why is YOUR end of the W riding lower in the water????!!?? HA! Had a blast visiting with you and your family and paddling the 500. The boat is all it is advertised and more! I love my 300, but this platform is even more stable, more comfortable, faster, and yet it’s the same 59 pounds in weight as the W300! How’d you do that?

It took me 5 years to design this thing.
I kept thinking about Jo Mares’ comment in his W300 review from 4 years ago: “…still thrilled with the W and not have been able to improve the basic concept without detracting from it in some other way. The W really is the best”
-I knew I had to do something considerably better. The better stability was planned, and the noticeable increase in speed was partly planned and partly a nice surprise
My end is lower in the water because all my weight is at the very back edge of the cockpit, while your weight is slightly backward from the front end of the cockpit, as your knees prevent you from riding more forward.

It’s important to notice that the boat in this movie is seriously overloaded, because an overloaded boat is always harder to balance and control. Great movie guys!

OK, Yoav…..now I want to see you and Jeff paddling in tandem.
You bet Gary,
Jeff can paddle riding in the front, and I’ll paddle standing in the back.
The only difference you’ll notice is the bow just a bit lower – maybe 1/2″ – 1″ lower, on account of the 30 lbs difference between Craig and Jeff who’s 245 lbs.
The boat will be slower too, but we’re not in a hurry, are we?
