Says Gary:
Dick Sherman and I finally caught a few trout and redfish out of Ozello yesterday after a few recent trips when the fish grabbers didn’t even get wet. We stopped for a minute to enjoy a couple of egrets who also seemed to be doing OK.

Congrats! Nice looking catch…
Photos were shot standing, apparently

No, Marco………I was sitting with arm extended.
Hey Gary, looks like a nice day on the water. Any word on how the spill issues might be affecting you over there? I was talking to Ed at the Classic event in Jacksonville last weekend and we are hoping for a trip over that way soon.
I see many w yakkers use foam for different projects. Is it easy to work with it?
I’m on the NOAA oil spill site daily, Jeff, and still no word on what it will do long term. My guess is that is will be taken south by the Gulf loop current which means it may miss us and Tampa, but hit the Everglades hard and then turn north and head up your way. Remnants of the spill could head our way, however, if we get a week or so of stiff west wind. The fishing has been slow but hopefully will start picking up now. I’ll give Ozello another go tomorrow, weather permitting. Let me know when you can make it over. How’d you do in the Jax classic?
Yeh, SF, the foam noodles are a breeze to work with – even a non-handy-man like me can figure out how to make them work.
