W Kayak Angler’s Report From the First NCKFC Kayak Fishing Tournament, Florida

The Nature Coast Kayak Fishing Club in Florida is fairly new, and today they held their first kayak fishing tournament.

Wavewalk was represented by Gary (green W500 fishing kayak) and Dick (yellow W500 fishing kayak).

Says Gary:
Our new kayak fishing club had its first outing today at Ozello, Florida. Fishing was slow with only a few small redfish and spotted sea trout boated, but what an awesome day on the water.

Hey, all you northerners – this is why people come to Florida!
Two Wave walkers showed up, and our W kayaks drew lots of looks from the wet seat club…

Thanks to Gary and Dick for representing the honor of the “dry butt express” otherwise known as the W500. Wish I could have made it down there but maybe next time.

  2. HazMatt says:

    Nice pics!
Good weather or not – a wet butt is a wet butt :D :D

  3. Marco says:

There’s nothing cool about a wet butt, no fun is a sore back, and no glory in numb legs. ;)

Finally, it’s nice to see wavewalk over-represented in a kayak fishing tournament :D
