John Fabina has already contributed a lot to our website and blog – Pictures, trip reports and kayak reviews, but he’s also stepped into the domain of art: The Art of Fishing Kayak Camouflage.
His work is both original and beautiful, as you can see-
Originally, a yellow W500 fishing kayak, which got transformed into a blue dream camo boat, under John’s magical brush (or airbrush, spray can…-how does he do it?):

Originally, a green W500 fishing kayak turned into a special-ops, or commando style camo boat:

John’s fleet of 4 camo fishing kayaks: The ones on the bottom are W300 (originally yellow and green), and the 2 top ones (tiger pattern and commando style) are W500 fishing kayaks

More than ever, we look forward to John and Jeanne’s new trip reports and pictures -

I like that blue one. Hmm maybe a trip to Lowes for some spray paint is on order. Years ago I let my kids draw all over the bottom of my aluminum canoe. They would sign it with various things and draw pictures as well. John’s work is pretty neat and it would be cool to see that fleet one the water. He brought back some happy memories for me.
whoaaa!!!
Beautiful work. The blue w300 is one of the most original, and best looking kayaks I’ve ever seen.

The fish may not notice the difference between these works of camo art and other fishing yaks, but people will, for sure!

Outstanding, great job on the paint jobs.
Coolest yaks on the water.
Tight lines and safe paddling all.

This artwork is striking, and I wish I had such skills…
What’s also striking is that one family got 4 w yaks! To me it means it’s a good product.
