Outside of the Wavewalk kayaks standing in any other so called fishing kayak is a stunt. Sure it looks like fun but requires careful balance and a steady hand. Trying to engage in fishing or just exploring is tough because you have to keep focused on not falling. In a Wavewalk the standing and sitting postions are quite natural. You can get up and down easily. No so in other fishing kayaks not matter what the users or makers say. Just watch them grunt their way up, after a few of those they sit and stay there until back unkinking time is required on shore.

With the number of people who visit its website, WaveWalk is arguably comparable to a paddling and fishing magazine.

There's nothing surprising about that, really. Those magazines have to make a living somehow, so they'll publish whatever suits the agenda of their major advertisers, even if it's total nonsense and only remotely related to reality.
I don't believe people trust what's written in those magazines, but it's rather another form of light entertainment for them.
