Kayaks, Leg Numbness, Leg Pain and Sciatica

Kayaking, Leg Numbness, Leg Pain and Sciatica is the latest blog post on the new Painless Kayak Fishing blog.

Something tells me that it’s going to make some people angry, but it’s also going to give food for thought to a lot more people – paddlers and fishermen who are either considering kayaks, using them, or have already given up because of back problems, which are at the root of most leg problems.

Having played the sciatica game last year the W was a blessing. Getting out and just paddling the boat seemed to relieve the pain. After a few hundred yards of motion I could fish with the same comfort as always. I remember at the time thinking the W kayak should be prescribed for these types of issues. Helped me a bunch and as it stands right now I’m back to normal. Was it the W? I don’t really know but it sure seemed to help me.

I Could have been the Poster Child for this article.

I can’t even begin to tell you the pain I would suffer from, and to
have it happen in the middle of a lake, then to have to paddle to shore
and roll out of my SIT or SOT because the pain was to intense to lift myself out of my prior yaks………………………….

That has now been solved, with my W300 and W500 yaks, No More Pain.

Though I am never pain free, on or off the water, the Pain no longer shortens my fishing trips, and I can stay out for hours.

My longest trip in the W has been 10 hours, of course with a couple of potty breaks, or beaching to take pictures.

I could never do that in my old SIT or SOT yaks.

    Happy Paddling All
    Rox
