More Records for Wavewalk Kayaks in July

August marks the beginning of the new fiscal year Wavewalk, and it’s a good time to compare y-o-y performance.
As it stands now, we sold 42% more kayaks in the 2008-9 year (August 1st to July 31st) compared to our previous fiscal year 2007-8, which in itself was pretty good.
The W500 is a big success, and it contributed significantly to this increase.
Overall, the pace of increased sales has been accelerating since 2006, in both our touring and fishing kayak models.

As for our website, another record was broken in July, with 18,638 unique visitors (real, individual people, that is). So far, our website attracted more than 100,000 unique visitors since the beginning of 2009.

Congradulations on a successful and record breaking year. The entire Wavewalk team deserves a hearty handshake and pat on the back for doing so well in these tough economic times. It shows when a product is the right one people will buy it because it works. Best wishes and may this year be even better.

It is worthwhile! You are offering people a better paddling and fishing experience than they would have had without your products, and that’s great!

Congradulations on a very successful and record breaking year. :)
I’m not surprised at all, when you introduced the W500, and made a great
    yak even better, outstanding.
A toast to you my Friend, and to your great company.

    Happy Paddling All :)

Yoav, I would like to see and possibly test try a W500 kayak before ordering, unfortunately a trip to Boston is not possible right now. I live about 20 miles from St. Louis Missouri – is there anywhere in the Midwest where I could see and possibly try a WaveWalk yak? Perhaps even an individual owner would be so kind to allow me to visit and see a W-500 in person? Any response would be appreciated. Thanks,

    Mark,
We don’t have dealers, and we don’t ask our clients to serve as demo sites because it would be unrealistic on our part to expect it from them:
Some of our customers write to us about their experience with their W kayaks, and occasionally there’s a client who sends us pictures and a review, or posts a comment on this blog, but that’s basically it.
Do you think that once you got a W kayak you’d volunteer to answer phone calls from strangers asking questions about it, and spend your free time with them while they test it? (It’s a rhetorical question, and therefore somehow unfair :D )
Do you have particular concerns about the W500? If so, you are welcome to email me, or ask questions on this blog.

In reference to Mark’s concerns. Mark, in the world today being careful in ordering sight unseen is certainly an issue. There are numerous tales of people totally unhappy with an internet marketed item and then they have no recourse. On this site there is a wealth of information about the Wavewalk kayaks and how they perform. Yoav goes into great detail on the fit of the boat to the person and clearly indicates how well it will perform based on the paddlers size. No other kayak firm goes anywhere close to these efforts in order to help the buyer make an informed decision. As he stated Yoav can answer any question about the W500 via e-mail. I’ll go on to say from my point of view better than any other kayak maker can about their own product. Comparing the W to the ride of any other kayaks out there is very tough. The boat offers so much more that most of your first outtings will be ones of discovery and delight. If you have used canoes or other kayaks the W will be a welcome treat for your own comfort and add hours of time on the water instead of on land for recovery. I’ve used a W for a few years now and it’s continues to be the boat fo choice for me. I’ve got loads of posts on this site as well as articles. Read through what is here and you’ll get a pretty clear picture of the W and just what it can do.
