Thanks for sharing your knowledge. Regarding your 4 wheel transport rig, a couple questions. (1) Are the center pair of wheel necessary? Seems as though the outside pair should be adequate. (2) Can you describe/elaborate on the “clamps” you used to secure each wheel in position?
I first made the unit with the two center wheels and then added the two on the outside. Now it rolls super easy. Each wheel has a limit of 50lbs so I have loads of extra capacity. The center wheels also help prevent the bar from bending since it’s not all that thick to save on overall unit weight. I wanted to be sure I could move the boat with all my tackle in place. I carry tons of it sometimes. The wheels are held by the tubing over the bar which also adds grip for the boat and regular stainless hose clamps hold the tubing and the bar together. There are metal washers between the wheels and the friction points of the tubing as well. The connection points for the strap are stirup style connectors that have the small screw lock pin on the opening side. In conjuction with the plastic tubing they allow a secure strap point that can be moved along the bar if required when the strap is loose.

Thanks, again!
