Fred designed and built a simple and effective set of carry wheels, or trolley, for his Wavewalk kayak.
As you can see, this concept is easy to build, lightweight, and easy to attach to the kayak:

Actually, one pushes it like a wheelbarrow with two hands on the “rear” straps. I do not have rough terrain or long sand hauls in my area which would argue for taller or wider wheels. Key factor around salt water is, ensure there are no metal parts on the wheels. The axle will corrode and need to be replaced, but not often.
