Kayak Fishing for Redfish in the Florida Flats

Jeff McGovern likes to fish in shallow saltwater, in the flats near the 206 bridge.

In this movie Jeff invites the viewer on board his wavewalk fishing kayak, where he casts from and lands two redfish. This is a ‘must see”:

How did he get that fish to talk like that? :D

A talking fish is already pretty amazing, but one that seems to understand what many kayak fishermen still don’t is unbelievable! ;)
    Great movie!

I enjoyed watching this movie, and I’d rather believe that fish talked than some of the claims traditional kayak manufacturers make about their yaks! :D :D

Fish do indeed talk. However only when their mouths are not full of water. Some of the reds even greet me when arriving at the W since they pretty much know freedom and no hook is only moments away. Most of the jigs I use have the barbs crushed down so the fish are far easier to get back in the water. As long as you maintain a slack free line during the fight the chances of them getting off the hook are pretty slim.

I believe that like everybody else, fish are entitled to hold their own opinions, and express them if they can… But that doesn’t necessarily mean that any statement is true just because a fish made it! LOL

    Do fish fish??
