Nice movie Jeff. Are you using a camera that is attached to your head? I am looking for one so any advice would be appreciated.

Hi John,
There are actually head mounded cameras that fit inside the bill of a ball cap. Kind of like those hats with the LED lights you see at the sporting goods stores. I’ve seen them used for major BASS events when anglers shoot shorts of landing a big fish or focus on some tiny gear detail. For me right now it’s hand held but I use a neck lanyard so the camera is always handy. The lanyard goes around my neck loosely and the camera fits into the top pocket on my vest or into the pocket on a t-shirt. I shoot loads of pictures for work one handed since the other hand normally has a flashlight in it. The thing to do is find a camera that can be used one handed and have that lanyard in place for unexpected drops. Test before you buy, some cameras are two handed. The newer digitals with the fast boot up time are wonderful. My old Olympus 300WR took time to get going when I needed it. The new 1030SW boots up in moments and you are ready to go by the time you look at the screen. I am working on a chest mount method using the Gorilla Pod, already tried it and it works fine in initial testing. I’ve also worked up a hand/wrist mount, that might be the best way for some things since hand mounted flashlights work so well.
Take Care, Jeff
