Technically speaking the W is neither a kayak nor a canoe, and it's not even a catamaran in the full sense of the word: It's a new type of boat that can be used for paddling kayak style and canoe style, as well as for other styles and applications.
In the beginning we called it W boat, but most people who saw it called it a kayak so we changed its name to W Kayak - to be on the same page with the market.
